First of all it is moot point, not mute point, you've been driving me mad with that all summer.

Secondly, Rondon is suited to hoofball, nothing else. If we sign him it is confirmation that we may as well forget about a midfielder touching a ball with their feet all season. I'm sure you're thrilled about that but I am thoroughly depressed.

There’s no strategy there, it’s just managers picking players they’ve worked with before or like. People on here blame Brands for all the recruitment issues, it seems to me he’s got very limited sway on any targets judging by what’s coming in.

It's not like anybody is happy with it, it's just that some are more understanding of the fact we've spent half a billion pounds on utter dross and this is the inevitable outcome of that.

When did we become such self-entitled Geordies for god's sake?

you can make all the suppositions and lists you want, neither you, nor I have any idea how many (if any) of our signings were picked by Brands. The likely answer is “some not all”.

Signing two players (whoever they are) certainly doesn’t “make it perfectly clear” that NONE of them had anything to do with Brands
