I agree with you but if you end up with a sulky Kean for a whole season we are in big trouble.
Wouldn't argue with that mate.

Easiest way of looking at it is we paid £2 million for Holgate but the fact his book value has been pretty much paid up over the years selling him for say £18 million would be a profit on the books for that full amount there or thereabouts.
We could hypothetically sign a Dumfries and McNeil and probably a 3rd player as well with that £18 million as those signings outlay would be paid over the duration of their contracts ie. 3-5 years. Wages obviously play a factor but we've cleared a few off the books this summer and will still likely offload 1-2 more such as Kenny/Delph/Gomes you would hope before the window ends (potentially Soggy as well depending on what happens there).
It's what we likely had hoped we could have done with Kean/PSG which never materialised.
We've got rid of crap and brought more crap in.
You need to reread my edit of the OPs first line.We still need a right winger and or another player who can play as a ten.
End of the day, we have a squad with 3 x Euros finalists, One Euros winner, an Olympic gold winner, La Liga titles, Serie A titles, Bundesliga titles, Premier League titles, a world cup golden boot winner and Euros Golden Glove winner. Yet people talk like we have absolutely no quality and desperately need signings. We do have quality.
Willock is a player we should be after, young English midfield goalscorer
I've a feeling Townsend will be more effective.Double-check my original post; at no point did I say that Townsend is better than Bernard.
Begovic versus Olsen is open to debate. I personally prefer Begovic, but we’re splitting hairs.
Leeds is a massive worry. We’ve really got to take advantage of the kind start, fixture wise. I think 10 points from 18 is the minimum requirement.
I saw those players win at Anfield, White Hart Lane, the Emirates, the King Power, the London stadium, Elland Road etc. You don't win at those grounds without putting in a level of performance. We were literally top 8 all season until the last game. They can perform. Rafael needs to make them consistent...Lol.
You have seen the level of performance that these idiots put in whilst wearing an Everton shirt haven’t you?…
