Everton Summer transfers 2021

Rightly or wrongly, his atrocious end to the season may have played a part in that. Hopefully, he's far better this season as we need him to be.
Yeah. Reminds me of the old saying, "form is temporary, class is permanent". Now before anybody jumps all over my back, I am NOT trying to make out that Holgate is class. I'm just pointing out that a a young defender does not regress from being our "best" defender to our "worst" defender in the space of 12 months. All players suffer loss of form at some stage in their careers. If we sell this lad for pittance to one of our peers (and yes I do consider Brighton as one of our peers this season) and he smashes it, which we all know he is more than capable of doing, then the same people baying for his sale now will be the ones cryarsing about it in 6 months time.

We cannot sell DCL this summer he is our main source of goals by a long chalk. Hold onto him for another season at least if he does well City/United will be in and we can charge upwards of 100m given the current prices. Selling to Spurs for 60/70m right now would be madness.

I do not even remotely trust Marcel Brands to spend any windfall we would receive for Calvert-Lewin wisely. Not a chance we should be taking that kind of gamble, lose his goals and we could be relegation fodder.

I've said it multiple times but our fans, like many others I suppose, have a binary view of our players meaning they're either great or rubbish, with no inbetween.

Holgate: Brighton
Iwobi: Atalanta
Gomes: Benfica
Delph: Anywhere
Kenny: Anywhere
Tosun: Turkey

If we could move them on id be very happy.

Bring in Aarons and McNeil (two 21 year old England U21 players) and we will have had a great window.

Then we need a centre mid.

No chance Atlanta sign Iwobi, they are a well run club

Lukaku is miles better than DCL though IMO.

Well yes he is obviously better, but both players were absolutely integral to the team. The idea we would be better off without Lukaku was delusional and the idea we will be better off without DCL is also delusional.

The thought of having to replace him in the next 3 weeks terrifies me. How can anyone want to leave our fate in the hands of our recruitment team. They would end up signing a load of overpriced no marks and we'd end up in an even bigger mess than we are already in.

Consistent goal scorer aswell over many season not just a few purple patches

Correct we can't even find another goal scorer to supplement DCL/Richy, we never replaced Rom, we haven't got a first team standard RB to play the entire season. I don't trust them if we are to sell him we need plenty of time to plan replacements.
