I could score goals in the German league these days look at Werner/Haller etc who were 50 times the forwards over there than this chap.

…he’s young and the US players tend to have a really good attitude. Also, helps attract interest from the other side of the pond.

It wouldn’t say much for Kean if we are genuinely interested in him, which wouldn’t surprise me. I’d much prefer his potential to Kean.

Thought Townsend and Gray did well as did Iwobi. They all made more direct and positive runs which we haven't seen in a good while. Hopefully Gordon can find a role on the left this season because it would excellent, save us some money plus Richarlison has to more central.

I think we will be seeing more of a 4-3-3 at home against lesser teams so a central midfielder would be nice to add to the squad especially if we have Allan, Doucoure and Gbamin, we need something more dynamic.

DCL has no real opposite who will push him or make his spot more competitive so I wouldn't be against a more experienced striker especially if Simms is given a chance because I think three options is better than just one.

Coleman was ok, I can't fault his love for us and his work-rate but he is a weak point defence. Right back in this window is crucial to a better shape and offensive.

Centre defensively - wow! I love Godfrey but I fear for him next to either of Holgate or Keane plus Mina at times just switches off. I'd love us to sign a better centre back but I don't think financially we will.

Well that's not really the point.

I agree we need better, but he's the only midfielder we currently have who has shown any indication he can play a disciplined central role in a three and I think that's what we need to help Allan and Doucoure push on and get the best out of them. Hopefully Gbamin stays fit and comes into that mix too because fully fit I'd like to think he's got more to his game than Davies has.

Tom Davies a garbage footballer,Seems like a nice lad though.

But he was probably the least garbage of all of our garbage players in the back half of last season and I think he can offer something to this squad over Delph and Gomes, unless he drastically improves to 2018-19 level.

Move those two on, then you can possibly look at moving Davies on.

Yeah he cares- fair enough. But you need more than to care about the club. He’s just not very good. If we want top 6 or higher then we need better (not that I think we’ll finish top 6).

He can do a job coming on for 15/20 at the end of games, but with suspensions and injuries across the season I just don’t think you can rely on his ability.

The player we're linked with is Sean Longstaff who offers nothing more than Davies.

Davies is also the only midfielder we currently have who has shown he can play as a six, which is what I think we need.
