Personally think we need more of a reliable experienced head to rotate/come off the bench and make an impact.

Ideally would rather Kean be sold, Rondon in on a 12 month deal and this kid signed for a few quid but loaned out to the championship and give him a year to get to grips with English football.

I absolutely do not want to sign Rondon. We have enough older players on high wages we cant shift. Would much rather sign a young prospect.

I also do not rate Rondon, but hes not the profile we need right now. We need players looking to improve and who have potential. Not players on the decline.

Why did we extend his contract to let him leave again?

So that we can maybe cash in on him if he has a great season...rather than letting him go on a free after I guess having invested years on his development.

The quicker you come to terms with Rondon being an absolute terrible option for this club the better you will feel.

Broadhead on the bench yesterday and now out on loan. Do we get giddy at the prospect of a new signing or will Kean just make the bench against Leeds?

Problem for any young striker coming here is:

1. DCL near enough always plays

2. DCL barely gets injured

3. We play one up top

I dont see how signing a young 20 year old helps when he'll be getting 5-10 minutes off the bench most weeks and the odd cup game here and there.

For me it'll be Moise Kean all over again unless he hits the ground running which is unlikely.

Players like Tammy Abraham, Harry Kane, Barkley, Holgate all went out on loans to the championship which helped them adjust quicker to the first team in the Premier League.

Get them out on loan playing week in week out 90 minutes and developing / learning their craft.

If we signed Rondon I'd be amazed if we went longer than a 2 year contract. Bit yes I certainly get your point

Only way I can see it happening is we might be one of the few clubs that would allow a buy back clause given we did the same with Deulofeu. Barca get money now, we get a good player for a season or two, we then get a guaranteed ffp profit when Barca buy him back, it keeps him out of the clutches of any of their rivals, he gets the first team football he wants and knows that he has a path back to Barcelona. Could easily see us agreeing to something like this is it suited Barcelona.

Yeah but hes only got a few months left on his contract though so barca dont have much of a say. Hes refusing to drop his demands and isnt even allowed to train with the b team.

It's actually a good point in this. And from the players perspective, may well get 1st team football.

Hes going to the very, very top hes unreal. We're talking rondon and longstaff and instead we got Moriba lol.
