True, but Doucoure is a strong runner and Anguissa had some of the best drubbing stats in midfield (the stats are floating around here somewhere) across Europe last year. More than one way to push the ball upfield. Plan B will require some creativity for sure but as a Plan A it’s not the worst tactic currently

Would be a good signing. Can play DM but also carry the ball and good passing range. Probably keen to make the step up too. Much rather this than slow players from big clubs who don’t want to be here.

In the current PL your creativity should come from out wide / the fullbacks for me (unless you are City and can affford the KDB's of the world)

Why bringing in a quality RB is essential - once James goes throw the lot at Utd for Dalot now Dumfries has gone.

No one was creative in Liverpool’s midfield when they win the league. The prem now os largely about pace and power. James Siggurdson Davies Bernard don’t get to see the ball agaisnt opposition midfields now, they’re crowded out until we match the running power of teams around us midfield we’ll never progress.

Please let this be true. If him Gbamin and Dukes start we will start to physically dominate teams which will really get the crowd going. Its hard to get the fans up when Gomes, Sig and Davies are getting bullied and cant run 10 yards without looked knackered.

Feels very much like we have turned back the clock to the Moyes era this window. Not doing much business early to save on wages and trying to pick up players that need to be offloaded from wage bills on loan. Can't see us signing anyone until the last 24 hours of the window, be surprised if we do anyway.
