Is this the worst transfer window in our history? Can't remember a window where we've had such uninspiring signings. Even the season we sold Rooney and bought Marcus bent feels better than this.

…based off his West Ham loan, Lingard at 20m is an absolute steal.

CBA to see if anyone else has pulled you up on this, but you HAVE to be joking.

Lingard's spell at WHU proved that he is a lazy waster. He could have played like that for the bulk of his career at ManU but he didn't. Why? Because he had a fat, comfortable contract and zero self-motivation or professionalism. He only made an effort at West Ham because:

a) He was aware that ManU won't be renewing his contract
b) It was a loan move
c) He wanted to try to get into the England squad

He was CLEARLY trying to attract a new employer. If a club was stupid enough to buy Lingard now, they'd get the same lazy turd who faded into obscurity at ManU. That's what he does when he gets a long-term contract.

Would I take him on loan until January? Yes. But I don't want an obligation to buy, I don't want a loan fee and I don't want to pay more than £30k per week for him. Let ManU continue to pay for their recruitment error.
