Ramos and Varane were probably on huge wages, they’ve shifted Odegaard as well. They could probably shift quite a few players as well like Isco Asensio Ceballos. The big clubs always find the money somewhere.

They are betting everything on winning the Champion's League this year - their argument to Mbappe to resign will be based on how close they get to winning it this year. And they're one of only clubs in the world that could let Mbappe go for free and still buy a 100m player in the same summer. I don't think selling Mbappe is linked to being able to buy a replacement.

I thought Mbappe wanted to win the Champions League anyway, leaving PSG to go to Real Madrid in this current state would be an extremely odd way of going about that.

Think this will happen tbh. Mbappe won't renew which means that Madrid can get him at a much reduced price. Everton will buckle instantly because we want the money.

But then our inability to properly negotiate for players will bite us in the backside as we are bad at the best of times and every club will know that we have a wedge to spend. Looking forward to spaffing £45 m on Dwight McNeil to replace him too

My biggest issue is that we can't be trusted with the task of replacing him. You just know we'd bid silly money on McNeil (a player I've got nothing against individually for the record) and that wouldn't be enough.
