I have considered everyone’s thoughts on this matter and it would appear I was wrong, Davies is definitely not a Premier League standard player. So therefore I’ll amend my statement regarding our academy accordingly.

Davies has played 130 times for Everton, a mid table club in the premier league. Regardless of whether you think he's good enough for Everton or not the argument that he isn't premier league standard doesn't really hold up.

These were my thoughts mate, but I have been hounded for that view so I’ve decided to accept defeat on this one.
I think it’s bad that we have failed to produce a Premier League quality player since Barkley 10 years ago.
Davies and Dowell are in the PL. Robinson was a PL starter last year.

I’ve just been hounded for suggesting Davies was Premier League standard. And clearly neither of these two are, Robinson was a rotation player in a relegated side that failed to reach 30 points, doubt Norwich will either and would be surprised if Dowell plays more than 15 games.

There is some kind of problem in the organization when it comes to transitioning promising young talent from the youth/loanee level. Vlasic, Lookman, Kean- all became disgruntled, none reached their potential in our shirt, all forced/forcing their way out. Lookman might not ever really come good but the issue is there. Don’t think that Unsworth is preparing them properly, or maybe its Dunc not succeeding in coaching anyone who’s not an old school 9 like him, could be manager turnover etc but if I’m the likes of Small or Nkonkou or Gordon I’m wondering if there’s a path for me to develop and play since the recent track record is not good.

If we're lowering the definition of PL standard players to players that are in the PL, that's a really [Poor language removed] standard.
Lundstram just played 2 seasons in the Prem as well.
What's your criteria for PL standard player? Is it not a player that plays in the PL? Robinson played 28 games in the league last season.
