€180 mill for a player in the last year of their contract. We should be after €100 mill of that at the very minimum for his replacement
Not going to happen PSG don't want the money, they want him for another season - what would be funny would be PSG calling RM's bluff - FFP its a joke - How is it we are searching for pennies at the back of the sofa because of record losses yet have owners who want to invest but can't, RM, on the other hand, can be 900 million in the hole and yet can manifest another 170+ for someone who cost nothing in less than 12 months.

Looking at the market, there are a number of players 'available' who could be on reduced fees. There are also long shots who may see us as a 'stepping stone'...

Whether its loans, using us as a 'stepping stone' or straight deals...

Some we will get straight rejections from player/club but others we should be able to bring in.

If we can get £100mil for Richarlison and £25mil for Kean then we could and should be able to do some real damage.

Its going to be an interesting last 5 days
Good work Zat! Pleased someone still has the passion for playing football manager..

Too much upheaval.

You don't sell one of your best players (plus a proven goal threat in the PL, none of which those players you list are mate) this late unless you have the foundations in place.

We don't have the foundations in place. So you don't even entertain it.

The budget this year was always based around moving Kean on and probably one other (maybe James). But getting money in for Kean and his wages off the books was the plan, and that should have been done earlier but for a few reasons - not all Everton's fault - it wasn't. With that money we need a right-back and an attacker.

Hypothetically (of course) if we sold Kean (obligation) and Richarlison for £125mil and Diaz was brought in for £25mil + James and we managed to shift out one or two more.

Lets say we brought in Antony, Gravenberch, Tchouameni, Patterson and Jebbison.

LF: Diaz/Gray
CF: DCL/Jebbison
RF: Antony/Townsend
CM: Doucoure/Allan/Gravenberch/Tchouameni
RB: Patterson/Coleman

Each of the new signings would be coming into a squad where we would have depth across those 5 positions.

Something which would enable us to rotate to have a better chance of lasting the pace.

Do you not think we need to 'twist' rather than just bringing in a couple of players and slightly improving?

Id far prefer us to bring in those players we need so we (in theory) would only need to look at centre back next summer.

If not those players then players with similar profiles with high upside. Otherwise were going to be treading water again.

One Colombian for another.

We've definitely dropped down in creativity, going to miss James, but Diaz is a good player.

Gutted with James going, really, really am. We cannot have him and Richarlison leave.

@Zatara @Nymzee @TheBigIguana whats he like? Atleast one of you will think he’s class, 1 will deny knowing all about him and the other will recommend some slugs from Austria

Ive got zero memory of seeing Diaz play.

Not watched Porto since Neves played fot them :)

@BlueToff seems like youve watched him ? Anyone you could say hes similar to?

5 signings in 3 days. Never works other in FM.

According to Joyce, the Diaz deal involves James joining Porto on a 'season-long loan' which would obviously run his contract down, meaning we wouldn't get a fee for him.

That being said - if it means we free up most of James's wages and get Diaz in on a cut-price deal then we've done well there I reckon.

I think we have an option to trigger James' contract for one extra season.

So if he did well at Porto we could add another year to his deal and sell.

IF Ronaldo going to Man Utd how about we have a cheeky loan bid for Cavani?
