Hypothetically (of course) if we sold Kean (obligation) and Richarlison for £125mil and Diaz was brought in for £25mil + James and we managed to shift out one or two more.
Lets say we brought in Antony, Gravenberch, Tchouameni, Patterson and Jebbison.
LF: Diaz/Gray
CF: DCL/Jebbison
RF: Antony/Townsend
CM: Doucoure/Allan/Gravenberch/Tchouameni
RB: Patterson/Coleman
Each of the new signings would be coming into a squad where we would have depth across those 5 positions.
Something which would enable us to rotate to have a better chance of lasting the pace.
Do you not think we need to 'twist' rather than just bringing in a couple of players and slightly improving?
Id far prefer us to bring in those players we need so we (in theory) would only need to look at centre back next summer.
If not those players then players with similar profiles with high upside. Otherwise were going to be treading water again.
Ive got zero memory of seeing Diaz play.
Not watched Porto since Neves played fot them
@BlueToff seems like youve watched him ? Anyone you could say hes similar to?
