Everton Summer transfers 2021

And who's feet does the blame lie at that for the 500 million spent that has left us in this position?

Covid aside, this transfer window is a mess for all but we are master of OUR own destiny in this but really who should we be pointing the finger at?

The blame lies with Moshiri I’m afraid. You can’t blame it all on Brands because there is Walsh, Koeman and Allardyce who massively contributed to the mess we are in. Also, Alan and James were clearly signings made by Carlo, so it’s hard to pin those on him either. The one consistent throughout has been Moshiri.

I don't think he should be sacked and not replaced though. Even if they're taking control away from him too much we still do need someone to do his job.
Absolutely. The lesson here is for Moshiri. Brands, who is not empowered by Moshiri, is neutered and therefore useless. I see no point in personally blaming him. He needs to be removed and replaced by somebody who is empowered. That's why Moshiri must take the rap and learn the lesson. But he won't. If he did, he could, in theory, retain an empowered Brands, but sadly he has been so undermined as to be in an untenable (but lucrative) position.

I can’t accept we are still not signing a sccessor of Coleman. We have discovered the problem for 2 years or above. We should be priorities to sign this position even if it is a loan deal…Once Coleman is injuried, we probably will ne punished with this fatal mistakes.

Seems that we are desperate for a head on a stick again. Martinez, Koeman, Silva, Allardyce and Walsh weren't enough - get Brands !
Brands has been utterly undermined by Moshiri but he has to be accountable for his performance like the others. Moshiri thinks he's doing a great job! He's appointed him to the board and extended his contract. It's a lucrative gig for Brands. In his current non-empowered state he is a drain and drag on the club.

I did say a few days ago we would end the day disappointed. James may go and our only signings likely to be Rondon and potentially AMN.

Signings are generally under whelming and back up players apart from gray IMO, also disappointed that we have signed 2 OAP goalkeepers to allow a promising GK to leave the club. All signings bar Gray all over the age of 30:-

Gray 25
Lonergan 37
Townsend 30
Begovic 34
= Average Age 32, is this the direction we need to be going in, not improving quality and just buying back ups?

I`m sure the club are trying but it appears the they have left it far too late to add any real or worthwhile quality.... Gray does look very good value for money I just hope he can keep that consistency all season and stays fit.

When it gets this late you worry what decisions or panic buys Everton will come up with........... ?
