Everton Summer transfers 2021

Ticket sales were (obviously) down till this season, COVID had a huge financial impact, our commercial deals are very average, no sleeve sponsor still, Moshiri - understandably - didn't inject another load of cash like he did last year. Player trading is one slice of a large commercial pie of which our club is very shoddily run.

Maybe if you bought another scarf you can offset us not selling Rodriguez.
So if brands is not to blame for our situation and other people in the club are then who are we blaming for COVID?

The commercial deals are very average because we are a very average team, we are not going to get top commercial deals finishing 10th.

he's dreadful

never rated him at PSG

A liability defensively and a complete nutjob. There's a reason Spurs terminated his deal.

Also I was at that Bayern game when they got thrashed and I almost felt sorry for Aurier, he was that bad. And I think he actually scored in that one! :D
He is poor. But to me he is on a par with Sidibie - and he did a job. Kenny is League 1 standard. And Coleman is, what, 33??

If Aurier can be secured on a short contract of the ilk we've offered to Townsend, we should go for him. Try and sell him on in the summer unless he somehow proves everyone wrong.

There will be games where his power and pace and overlap will help us push teams back. He will probably get a few assists too. Games where Coleman is goosed and we just bring him on to run around. And there will be games where he plays like a full-back Niasse.

Makes sense to me. But there's no way we should be in this situation to begin with.

Again, back to my original post I said Brands is not solely to blame for the financial state of our club.

If you disagree then fair enough but you'd be wrong.

I just want to know who else though that's all, I would understand you commercial argument but we can't get good commercial deals if we are doing awful on the pitch. Not even Angry Birds want us.

That's the danger of leaving it late though. Sometimes the club decides not having a replacement is a bigger worry than losing out on the money.
Porto did something similar to us with Brahimi a few years ago. Looked like it was going through late on deadline day then they upped the price at the last minute.

The age of the Squad now though

The thing is we've not spent money this summer so we're now well positioned to reinvent the team around young players going forward. More of the older guys will go off the books and we can fill the squad spots with younger options and have the money hopefully by next summer for them to be be quality players.

Of course actually doing it is a different story.

He's hasn't been positive about us for a long time

It's not the positivity I care about mate. That's not a journalist's job, regardless of what team they support. I'd rather get it reported as it is. And I honestly think Brands has deserved this public stick because frankly he seems crap at a big part of his role.

But, it's the tone of it all and I just know that that info has not gone to Joyce from the club. It's from Benitez's camp.

No surprise is it that Joyce has suddenly started coming back into the fold with info since Rafael was appointed.
