Imagine the turf war that would develop on here between the Yanks and the rest of us if we signed that lad. For that reason I’m all for this signing.

For me it wouldn't happen. I think Tim Howard is well overrated and needed to be sold for a good 3 seasons before he was as an example. If he were bad I'd say it.

Only saw him 3 or 4 times but he's technically not that bad at all for me.

Watched him in the NI USA match last week and he's physically so strong and hard to defend against. I'm not saying we should sign him but he's not a bad player at all from the little I've seen.

Yeah he's not Xavi but considering what he brings physically and his instincts up top I reckon his technique will end up being fine. I've got no idea what his level is though. But the current evidence suggests it might be above the championship.
