I was watching our game.
Keane had a very poor game and wasn't suited to going one v one against him, so clearly, that probably helped Zaha stand out.
He was constantly spinning wide, dragging Keane out just enough to open up the space and leave the oaf
floundering most of the time. He was also doing that thing that none of our players can do and that's dropping into the space between defence and midfield and charging with the ball.
Zaha created three chances, had three shots (1 on target), 73 touches (more than Dom (31) and Richarlison (38) combined, and more than James (68).
His three chances created were the joint-most in the game - along with Digne and Coleman. He made 39 passes in our half, more than any player on either side managed in the opposition's half (our best was James, with 30), and put in five crosses, all from open play (Digne put in 6, 4 from open play).
I think he had a pretty good game, probably helped by the freedom we afforded him - which hasn't been the case when we've played them usually. Think Eze was their standout performer overall, but Zaha played well.
Those stats don't really say that someone was 'anonymous', so I'd question what game you were watching if you thought he was.
Doesn't mean I think we need to go and spend £50m on him anymore. Ship has sailed. We certainly need a player who can offer what he does, though.
