He’s a good player mate, I don’t think he improves us much on top of what we have. Im probably going against the popular grain here, but I don’t think we need strengthening in that posisition, I’m more then happy with Alan and Doucoure for a season or two, I actually really like both, we actually haven’t had that many games they have played together.
Doucoure for me is very underattend, he carried us through Alan’s injury and I don’t think it’s an accident our form has gone of a cliff or we look unbalanced without him. We miss him hugely in my opinion. Id also persevere with Tom who has come on this year for me and Gbamin, who has been awfully unlucky, but I like his range of passing in the bits I saw. Then good things are expected on Onyango.
If I was looking for someone in the engine room I’d actually go for Kalvin Phillips at Leeds he’s that bit more dynamic, tenacious and is a bundle of energy. Also like Ndidi at Leicester but he’s been a bit stop start this year. But a good player to be mined there.
For me though priority next year is alternates in scoring goals, I think it’s a given we will get a right full, but if as expected we’ve lost Moise, we need an alternate to DCL - better than King, I’d agree with others in the creative dept, we either need a better return from our inside forwards Richarlison has been of it this year, or more guile in behind. Players I like are Barnes, Raphina and in recent weeks I’ve been impressed with Periera at WBA, like
@TheBigIguana i also like Buendia. While Couthino is a good player, I do wonder are we building layers of older players on big wedge at their apex that inevitably leads to continued high turnover.
