Everton Summer transfers 2021

Always wary about high scoring Championship players.
Che Adams got 22 before moving to Southampton.
Solanke has currently 15.
Pukki has 26 and managed 11 in the PL.

I'm looking forward to see what happens. Carlo can obviously attract top players to join. It's going to be another big summer. Hopefully we can get rid of a load of players too that have been stinking out the place for far too long.

It looks like Moise Keane will be sold too for around £40-50 million plus with other sales we may get in £80 million plus so add that to the kitty and we may well spend £150, million.

Hopefully we get them in early too ideally before the Euros have finished

No one knows how much he will or won’t be given in the summer let’s be honest here
I honestly can’t see him being given anywhere near that myself.

We are doing incremental changes with a manager who needs a squad overhaul, he’s not Pochettino, Pep or someone of that ilk he’s not a coach in that mould.

Give him great players he will create a great team, actually he will create an exceptional team.

He’s been in charge for 3 windows we’ve given him £60 Million or so to spend.

Hope you are right but it seems like we say this every year after another year of nothing .

That Ivan Toney is a massively late bloomer but finds the net in a good Championship side

Interesting to see the Athletic say we're preparing a bid, feels like that's come from nowhere

I do like signing championship players but really can't see us signing him for the quoted £35m. He'd just be another striker getting little to no service. We'd be better off keeping King and spending £35m on a creative type like Buendia, whose chance creation rate is brilliant.

No pace in the squad? Check.
No creativity when James isn't available? Check.
Again, James aside, literally nobody who can pass a football forward? Check.

No point signing strikers until we sort out the above.

Let's look at some stats from our hugely expensively-assembled squad:

Goals from defence - 6 all season (Holgate 1, Keane 3, Mina 2)
- Wasn't Digne supposed to be able to take a mean free kick once upon a time?

Goals from midfield - 16 all season (James 6, Iwobi 1, Doucoure 2, Sigurdsson 6, Bernard 1)
- Gomes and Davies have played 25 and 22 games respectively, and netted a grand total of 0 times. Iwobi's return of 1 in 28 appearances is shameful. 3 penalties aside, Sigurdsson, our 45m number 10, has scored 3 times in 31 games.

Goals from attack - 21 all season (Richarlison 6, DCL 15)
Richarlison - 6 goals in 29 appearances.
DCL 5 in his last 19 games, ie half a season. Overall 15 in 28 which is good imo.

Che Adams has more Prem goals this season than our £80 million rated Brazilian international.

Watkins, Bowen etc have come up and fitted in very well even if they (obviously) can’t produce the same numbers.

We need a real leader too that's what we're desperately missing someone who will have a go at his team mates when necessary. I read today that super Kevin Campbell said Delph was a real leader. I love Kev but that was a load of nonsense, maybe leader of the sick notes in the treatment room. A change of captain is also needed it looks like we are going to sign a right back so Seamus won't see much game time and Siggy won't get promoted.

what abt that argentine lad from Canaries ?
Take him all day.
Would be a good signing I reckon , but once again it’s a signing our scouting team should have been onto at least a season ago when he had just registered his first noteworthy season.
As it stands now plenty of other teams are sniffing around him and Brentford’s position means they will demand a high price for a player who still represents a gamble.
Last season we would probably had people saying we shouldn't sign Olly Watkins. Toney has surpassed Watkins last season at Brentford.
Watkins would have given us loads of options this season, pushed Richarlison and DCL for a place in the first team, and would have given us a real threat off the bench, and provided adequate cover coming off the right when James was out.

Che Adams is a premier league player. You only have to watch him play. His goals probably lower because his main role is as a foil to Ings.
