How has he been doing at Preston ?

They love him, from a few PNE fans I’ve spoke to it’s a case of a change of manager, going back to basics etc get stoic results, for the manager job. It’s all formulaic. They are gutted as they hoped to snag him for all next year on loan, but think we won’t do it now.

We need a real leader too that's what we're desperately missing someone who will have a go at his team mates when necessary. I read today that super Kevin Campbell said Delph was a real leader. I love Kev but that was a load of nonsense, maybe leader of the sick notes in the treatment room. A change of captain is also needed it looks like we are going to sign a right back so Seamus won't see much game time and Siggy won't get promoted.

Allan or Godfrey of the current lot agree though we need a new leader we have a team of followers in the main. And they are bottlers most of them.

If Toney was a bit cheaper I'd be all for it, we do need another forward and King doesn't seem fancied.

I don’t think he has shown a lot tbh. And 2 different Preston managers don’t have him in the team. I’d be surprised if he kicks a ball for us next season.

We’d be miles apart in our assessments mate, think the lad has the quality and also the vision. As I say I think he takes Bernard squad slot next season and develop him from there.

Id back the lad completely, be we are all have different assessments of players.

We’ve made that mistake to many times in my opinion, once with Lookman and will again Moise in the summer - like we did loaning him last summer.

Our record isn’t great and if we do the same with Anthony we haven’t learned our lessons.

In my opinion anyway.

I've seen Brentford a few times this season and he looks a handful but I highly doubt he could translate his game to the PL.

Ollie Watkins looks a cracking player and not just be played well against us. Been impressed every time I've saw him. Just shows there are bargains in the lower league's.

Watkins, eze, Godfrey, cash , bowen recent signings from the championship have all looked the part and have the right attitude.
Throw in the likes of maddison and go back to when we signed cahill and it is a market that is one we should be using.
If we got Aarons , olise and maybe toney or even dike it would be a good start for me .

Well he was 20 mill??, but he’s a decent player, he’s definitely a good signing for villa.
