We’ve tried the “Premier League proven” thing before, we ended up with Bolasie, Schneiderlin and Sigurdsson. I hope we don’t buy a single player directly from another Premier League club this summer.

….it’s a fair point, although Brands is on record as saying he likes squad players from top sides.

And it's a damn shame. What have the players mentioned there done to be "proven" and in what? Getting games for average teams is what I can think of, why make them priority signings because of that... Desperately want us to try something else.
