I can see our spending being massively regned in the next few years. I am guessing we will look for low cost young bargains like this Nunes fella. And sell the likes of Kean and Richy and any other assets we can offload to reinvest.

I'm most worried about 'the new manager needs time to assess the squad so there will be no major buys this season'...
Spot on this, has been the line we keep being feed when we are failing. We have spent, we cannot complain that the board hasn't supported the managers they have, but this gets rolled out as soon as things go wrong as if it will be better next season - que new manager and repeat. I have no complaints regarding the investing its what we are investing in that troubles me. Brands is quality but he needs to start delivering consistently.

Well he have spent alot the past few years with nothing in return

"Ancelotti and director of football Marcel Brands had spoken at length about key positions and potential targets. Ancelotti wanted to play a more “attractive” brand of football and the pair had earmarked right-back, the forward positions and central midfield as areas of interest. "

But but Carlo didn't care.

Well he didn't care did he? He literally left at the first opportunity. I'm really not sure what point you're trying to make there?

We also don't have a manager. I'd imagine signings need to be run by them?
They shouldn't be if Brands is meant to be doing his job. The "type" of player? Sure. The ACTUAL player? Nope. And regardless of who the manager is, we need a RB. That's undeniable. We need another CM who has pace. That's also undeniable.
