The half step Gomes lost due to the Son injury has really hurt him. He already wasn't very fast but now it looks like he's moving in quicksand. A move back to Spain or Portugal and a slower league would suit him.
Gomes has definitely been the biggest disappointment of any of our recent signings. He has the ability but doesn't seem to have the heart (or mental strength).
The others were just bad signings.
Let’s be honest he was pretty bog standard pre injury, apart from a few gamespossibly down to that terrible injury he had and imo done himself no favours with, coming back too fast after it.
Not sure on that but I know opinions differ.Let’s be honest he was pretty bog standard pre injury, apart from a few games
hello buddy let us play a game. who said this about mr gomes?? 3 guesses only.Let’s be honest he was pretty bog standard pre injury, apart from a few games
Now Gomes has come in and shown up every other midfielder at the club, from a technical point of view and he’s still not match sharp.

Obviously that’s was after a few games. Not a season. See the not match sharp bit, that could be a cluehello buddy let us play a game. who said this about mr gomes?? 3 guesses only.
wrong answer sorry buddy.Obviously that’s was after a few games. Not a season. See the not match sharp bit, that could be a clue
At that time our other midfielders, would have been gana, Davies and Schneiderlin. Let’s be honest not that difficult to look technically better than that lot.
Im
Sure if I was also a bit weird like you. I could go back 3 years and find a few more messages. Only a few games further down the line, when my opinion would be changing.
Unfortunately when you have a poor team, it’s easy to get over excited with new signings.
Shame that yeah. Unfortunately the only thing he offers nowadays is the odd left footed swinging cross into the box. He's by far the slowest player in the squad and offers no threat in the opposition's half of the field whatsoever. The half step Gomes lost due to the Son injury has really hurt him. He already wasn't very fast but now it looks like he's moving in quicksand. A move back to Spain or Portugal and a slower league would suit him.
And we refused to believe Gueye was actually top class at everything and not just running and tackling.Gomes wasn’t lashing goals in and racking up the assists before his injury was he?
We had (and I include myself) just overrated him because he looked a massive upgrade on Morgan and Tom who had been absolutely stinking the gaff out at the time.
Well he wasn’t really let’s be honest. If he was top class at everything he wouldn’t have gone from Lille to a poor villa team and then on to a mid table Everton team for 7milAnd we refused to believe Gueye was actually top class at everything and not just running and tackling.
Where'd he go next mate?Well he wasn’t really let’s be honest. If he was top class at everything he wouldn’t have gone from Lille to a poor villa team and then on to a mid table Everton team for 7mil
ok round 2 who said this about mr gueye buddy?? just 1 guess this time.Well he wasn’t really let’s be honest. If he was top class at everything he wouldn’t have gone from Lille to a poor villa team and then on to a mid table Everton team for 7mil
…he is vital to the midfield function as he do can a little of everything well.
Yes so he was slightly under the radar early in his career. Or he improved as he got older. PSG obviously were crying out for that type of midfielder and he wasn’t there first choice. The January window when they were crying poverty and trying to get the price down. All of a sudden they went and got paredes for 40milWhere'd he go next mate?
