The only thing that concerns me - surely that railing totally blocks your view in seating mode?

I'm struggling to find a picture of it in use as seating. I can find plenty of pics of it empty as seating, but not in use.

Looking at that I think it'll be below the eye line, but it's difficult to tell

So long as you're above 5'8", I guess it'll be fine.

Plus seating mode is only required for European games, so not an issue for us :sad face:

Nice one mate;)

Do you know how it would work in practice for a season ticket holder?. Would they just be allocated a row in which to stand? Can't see them being allocated an actual space. Imagine these little circles on the ground with a ticket number on that you have to stand on all through the match.

I remember reading that you're designated an area rather a free for all

Well they wouldn't be in a designated seat for a start.

To be honest I don't even know why I got involved in this. I don't care one way or the other if it happens. I just don't get the obsession with it. Hopefully the team will give the people something to stand up about.

You do get a designated seat though. The only difference to now is the rail about hip height

You do absolutely get allocated a "seat"

Just imagine how it is now with the seat locked in an upright position with a rail at hip height to lean on.

That looks just as expensive as traditional seating to me, if not more. Can't see how this can result in cheaper tickets for standing area's.

Thanks mate but all you've done is make me confused again.

Previous posts refer to an area that for European games when fans are obliged to sit, the ratio would be 1:1. For standing at domestic games however, this would increase by upto 1:8. So that would indicate you would be allocated a seat for European games, but not for domestic games.

I don't suppose in the whole scheme of things it really matters. The main thing is that it's safe and from the picture examples above it does appear to be. It's not for me personally but I know a lot of fans, especially the younger ones, like to stand so it get's a thumbs up from me;)

On a different note, I always found it weird as a kid that area's designated for seating is called a "stand".

Funny the way it asked if id ever been asked to sit by a steward....

Bellend No1 kicked me out last week Vs Westham

and ive had a warning letter off the club about it.
