I am probably missing something, but off the top of my head the vast majority of taken over clubs in this generation have just gone sideways or tits up.

What are people's expectation levels? we can probably safely assume we are never going to see the blank transfer cheques type take-over that City and Chelsea got.

A new stadium would be nice, but apart from that I thought we were in pretty good shape nowdays?

A new stadium has to be the main aim. I agree that we're in decent shape otherwise. Now is the time if we can do it.

I don't think anybody got carried away with the rumour though did they? And why shouldn't people get a little bit excited? At some point in the future the club IS going have new owners, it's inevitable, so at some point a rumour is going to come to fruition.
