So am I right on thinking that overseas is the future growth, which if the current allocation system is used is beneficial to the likes of ourselves as it's shared equally?

Correct which is why the top PL clubs are lobbying hard to change the ratios for domestic revenues.

All true but the new owners do not have to leverage straight away, could easily do it 6 or 12 months down the line.

That is true. Although one would think you'd be able to insert some clauses to prevent that. Huge extra fee if they put any debt needing longer than a year to pay off onto Everton's books? It's tricky but you'd figure due diligence on a new buyer and some good lawyers and he could get 90%+ likelihood they wouldn't do that. I mean it's not like he'd just take someone's word for it on a handshake right? ;)

Long-Term Capital Management was believed to have a financial model so robust it could withstand any downturn in the economy. Instead, it failed within 4 years.

Not a fan of Taleb to be honest, I did not agree with all he wrote in "Black Swan" - try "When Genius Failed".

Will seek this out; I'm a huge fan of Taleb, although he is a bit overambitious/arrogant in his writing. It's simple enough to suggest that we (1) overestimate our knowledge and (2) underestimate our ignorance, and (3) over-value too many things/ideas that are crap. These ideas are undervalued in the "we can model every scenario" world in which we live, and for that I like Taleb.

He's also (to my knowledge) the only person who's blocked me on twitter, so there's that.

This is what all them sh!thouses on the board have been waiting for, not a penny invested from any of them during their reign, and now it's time to cash in their chips for a nice fat profit.

Whoever buys this club, they couldn't be any worse than what we've put up with for the last 20 years.

You reckon? There are plenty of clubs that have had owners come in over the last 20 years are in a right mess now, would love to change places with Everton and have some stability, just take a look at the championship table and beyond. A take over that benefits Everton isn't going to be as easy to find as some want to think, a take over that sinks the club I'm sure could be just around the corner, but thankfully i can't see Kenwright allowing that to happen, change for the sake of change is the last thing we need.
