I live in asia. Fans support clubs not players so if he left utd to join us it would be of limited benefit.

Even if he took a £200k drop to £100k a week thats about £5mil in shirts for one year not including a transfer fee.

You don't need to support a team to buy their shirt and go and watch them play.

Our best squad just finished 11th twice in a row mate, having won at home only five times in a season.

Not hugely sure he'd struggle to shift any of the players I'd mentioned.

Yeah I know but regardless of how terrible our managers tactics were, he built and made us believe it was the best squad we'd had in years. In terms of individual talent he isn't wrong.

Lukaku massively underperformed as well as the rest of the team, no point bigging him up after a million misses

Because he gave a damn. I get the feeling Rooney knew the Man Utd team weren't good enough to win anything and has been at 80%. As I said Rooney's problem is fitness and if he doesn't have something to play for I think he struggles with it.

All depends on which managers come in I guess. If it's emery I can see him wanting him to bring in younger players who will enforce the high intensity pressing game. Rooney although still has the desire, no longer has the legs or fitness to play this style of football. Ironically I don't think lukaku does either.

Rooney made a play for the first time in over a couple years or something and all of a sudden this guy is a hero? He's been a waste of space game after game and turned up for 5 minutes in one game..
