Everton Transfer Thread 2016

The article says that we were looking at him as cover for Coleman, citing our earlier pursuit of Sam Byram. It says Sidibe is "equally adept at left back." Thirty seconds on google reveals that the lad is right footed, and left back is literally the only position where we don't need any additions.

IF we had any interest in him, it would be as a right back.
He played 28 times last season at left back. Only twice at right back. But it doesn't matter we need cover for both.

We have had a bid for Djibril Sidibe turned down. A left back that costs between around 11m. I can't complain with that. We need cover for Baines. Oviedo isn't going to make it with us - lovely guy but not quite good enough. I wouldn't want to go into a full season with either Galloway or Garbutt.

Very good ratings on Whoscored.

He plays right back as well and rated as better than Amavi at villa whose top notch.

Unless someone is leaving we don't need any cover at LB.
We do. Take off the blue tinted glasses. Baines wasn't the player of old last season and Ovideo hasn't looked the same since his injury. That just leaves two kids. Neither I would feel confident relying on.

The fact that we are going for a left back gives me hope that our standards are higher than normal. It's not a position we desperately need someone for but a guy who has an average 7.45 whoscored rating playing left back will do very nicely.

Which full backs were rated higher in ligue 1 last season?

I know swap deals are often mooted and seldom realised, but how would you feel about swapping someone like John Stones for a few of City's players? Hart is a top goalkeeper who I would love to have at Everton. Bony is a good striker etc.

Would a swap deal benefit them with FFP?

oh no, surely he di'nt

So the RS picked up one of those promising german keepers for the price of two small bags of peanuts.
Hopefully there's still value in the players market by the time we've got a manager in place here.
And yeah hopefully turns out he's not all that.
