I thought I was on ignore?

Anyway, he is reportedly on 85k a week from a contract signed two years ago. A new TV deal has been signed since then, a deal which is 71% larger than the last one.

You are, I can click show ignored content, I do sometimes when threads dont make any sense.

Anyway, im not gonna get into a discussion based on wild speculation, we will no doubt find out in time the terms of his contract, would be shocked if its 7m personally, very shocked.

Well you just have got into a discussion based on wild speculation. With me referring to what has been reported in the press, and you just plucking numbers out of thin air.

Be very surprised if we sign any German players having rmembered Koemans 'colourful' history in the Dutch/West Germany rivalry, he really didn't like that country.

Interesting if he has ever signed a German player actually...
Don't think it it has too much to do with him not liking Germans, but a lot more with a collective national depression. First WWII which the older generations simply couldn't forget. After that the loss to Germany in the 1974 WC final. The 1988 win against Germany in the Euro semi final caused for a lot of frustration to surface and in the heat of the moment the shirt incident happened. Don't think there are that many Dutch left who actually hate the Germans. They're viewed more and more as our friendly neighbours. Like it should be, there's not much reason, if any at all for the younger generations to keep up the hatred.

Good post that one mate actually, just remember the amount of hostility around that time between the players from both teams, wondered if it would actually have any bearing to what koeman would do transfer wise, ie swerve the German players or not

What you make of both Ziyech and Janssen btw, little i've seen they both look to have the quality (tough to judge fully from youtube though lol) wondered what you thought though? and what tye of price each would command should they be targets?

Ziyech reminds of Mahrez, Janssen a bit of a Huntelaar about him for me anyway.

could be two great additions in areas we are badly weak in - striker and left wing/no 10

Haven't been following the Dutch League for over a year now. Janssen seems like a real prospect though. Made the step up from the first division to the Eredivisie without any problem. Same as with the National team.

Also, everyone is raving about Ziyech. He's rated as the best player in the Dutch league, but probably better to ask @zirc
