Wesley Sneijder netted five goals and earned seven assists in the league for Galatasaray last term
The Holland international has enjoyed a stellar career at the likes of Ajax, Real Madrid and Inter Milan.
And even at 32, Sneijder is still impressing in Turkey.
Manchester United were said to be keen on the Champions League winner, with Jose Mourinho potentially looking to bring him to Old Trafford this season. Sneijder has been a long-term target for the Red Devils, but according to Turkish outlet Haberler, Everton are now interested.
Toffees new boss Ronald Koeman worked with Sneijder at Ajax in the playmaker’s early career.
And a reunion could be on the cards as a cut-price deal with Galatasaray is apparently available.
Sneijder is said to have a release clause in his contract of just £5.8million, which makes him easily affordable for Everton
Express Sport understands Koeman has a huge transfer budget of £100m this summer following the arrival of major share holder Farad Moshiri.
And the signing of Sneijder would certainly be considered a coup, although his wage demands are likely to be far more excessive than his transfer fee.
Galatasaray finished their 2015/16 campaign sixth in the Turkish Super Lig table, leaving Sneijder without the prospect of Champions League football next term.
Everton’s new project and a potential link up with former boss Koeman could appeal to the attacking midfielder.

For what it's worth, my mate is a season ticket holder at Old Trafford and he describes Mata as one hugely frustrating player and would be quite happy to see him sold.
Daley Blind ? Anyone
I'm going to assume this is just lazy journalists assuming that Koeman is going to be targeting anyone Dutch.http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...Galatasaray-Transfer-News-Ronald-KoemanGossip
