Just a point on this Shane long bashing on his goals to games ratio. Nearly one in three. Take a minute to think. That's not actually bad as an average. how many one in two strikers are there, and more importantly available and suited to premier league football? Consider how much do they cost? it's early days in our reinvigoration as a club. the concept of us having 3+ expensive one in two strikers to rotate at our leisure is deluded. He's a decent hard working squad player. No shame in that.

Maybe, I just think a few folks are being overly harsh on his qualities. He wouldn't be my choice either. However, lukaku, long and let's say an exciting young player like embolo, batshuayi, etc would make a decent 3 for next season. I think we can all agree we need at least two strikers in for kone and niasse.

Don't mind him. Think that Southampton would look to rip us off though and we could find someone with similar qualities cheaper elsewhere in this situation.

Both of those are being linked to CL teams. Which is going to be a major stumbling block when RK tries to blow the Mosh Dosh.

All those people suggesting Shane Long and discussing whether hes a good player or not what, he has never once scored more than the 11 goals that Kone scored in a premiership season, not once.

Swerve him, he would have been a great little option for the old Everton, but this is a new Everton.

Fully agree, where making noises of taking the club into a complete new level, spending big on wages and players and we're being linked with players we probably could have afforded under Moyes.Just.

I like Long, uses his ability to the fullest and gives 100%, but he's not a CL player if that's what we are aiming for.

I think he offers just as much as Nani would.

Also think we should try and turn Wanyama's head. £11M is a steal.
