I said weeks ago when folk were getting excited there'd be no signings until he's seen squad up close. I still stand by that. I'm pretty certain he won't be rushing around to find replacements for Osman, Hibbert and Pienaar so soon when we have an academy.

Totally agree. He's under no pressure what so ever to replace those types of players. If we'd already lost Stones or Rom then perhaps there's an argument to find replacements. Having said that it is still June!

Maarten Stekelenburg is almost certainly the first gain for Ronald Koeman at Everton. The new boss of the brothers Koeman should the 54-time international only soak his official employer Fulham.

Although Stekelenburg came out last year for Southampton, he is still under contract until 2017 at London's Fulham.Southampton took him last year for an entire season on loan and therefore not entitled to any transfer fee.

Koeman needs a new first keeper as Everton took this summer retired after ten years of the legendary keeper Tim Howard.Stekelenburg enjoys confidence. He was a big part of the season with the Saints first keeper of the fact that Fraser Forster with a severe injury was long out of circulation. But now Foster is fit, Stekelenburg has no appetite to remain second goalkeeper.



That position he had at AS Monaco and AS Roma, and that messed up his chances of a return to the Dutch team. In England the keeper has his reputation considerably jacked by his strong period under the crossbar at Southampton.

Morgan Schneiderlin, which ended up at Manchester United on the bench but under Koeman at Southampton was one of the best midfielders, is open to a reunion with his old coach.
