Only if we bother to practice them...The fact he's looking at six footers will be good for corners.....

Still needs to replace the players that have been released thoughI said weeks ago when folk were getting excited there'd be no signings until he's seen squad up close. I still stand by that. Yes he'll have a short list already, but I just can't see him spending any serious money until he's really happy that what's on that list is indeed what he needs to address.

I'm pretty certain he won't be rushing around to find replacements for Osman, Hibbert and Pienaar so soon when we have an academy.

What's all this about Schneiderlin then?
If we sign him I'm just typing 'Morgan'.
Sounds good, but can't get in the Swiss side ahead of Djourou? Or Senderos until recently. I know that's not always a great gauge, but does worry me a bit...surely if he's that good he would be able to play for Switzerland? They aren't exactly blessed with talent.

Maarten Stekelenburg is almost certainly the first gain for Ronald Koeman at Everton. The new boss of the brothers Koeman should the 54-time international only soak his official employer Fulham.
Although Stekelenburg came out last year for Southampton, he is still under contract until 2017 at London's Fulham.Southampton took him last year for an entire season on loan and therefore not entitled to any transfer fee.
farewell Howard
Koeman needs a new first keeper as Everton took this summer retired after ten years of the legendary keeper Tim Howard.Stekelenburg enjoys confidence. He was a big part of the season with the Saints first keeper of the fact that Fraser Forster with a severe injury was long out of circulation. But now Foster is fit, Stekelenburg has no appetite to remain second goalkeeper.
That position he had at AS Monaco and AS Roma, and that messed up his chances of a return to the Dutch team. In England the keeper has his reputation considerably jacked by his strong period under the crossbar at Southampton.
no prize
For Stekelenburg does not have to be paid for the prize, as his contract expires at the end of next season. Everton is in any case a big suitcase with money available for purchases.Koeman has made his wishes known to the club, which now has to work with the players he wants.
Schneiderlin open to reunification
Morgan Schneiderlin, which ended up at Manchester United on the bench but under Koeman at Southampton was one of the best midfielders, is open to a reunion with his old coach.
