Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Its a game of opinions mate and at least you have seen enough of him to form an opinion but we are talking about that big black tank who played for Marseille right ? The one who IMO was only bettered than Hugo Lloris in French football ? Please bear in mind that whilst he is no longer 25 years old, he has been playing in a team that seems to be in massive turmoil on and off the pitch. Personally I think he would be a massive upgrade on Tim Howard and I would prefer him on a free transfer to Tim Krul.

If we are looking at freebies then I would give a chance to Tonny Vilhenha, not lived up to the hype so far but again, improvement on the likes of Osman.
Vilhenha signed a new contract weeks ago with FeyenoOrd. Probably update it on fm soon

Does he post here .

lollollol Sorry mate I meant the Madrid player called James yet Absoloute whoppers like to call him Hamesh because James just isn't cool for school. The guy who left for Madrid for £65m plus add ons, yet we will blow most of our reported budget on him to bench Barkley.

Agree with all that mate.

Mandanda has suffered a bit mate but still has what it takes, IMO.

I'm just not sure on Strootman, but only down to his injury record.

Great player who would certainly improve us if he could stay fit. But his knee has exploded with that cruciate injury and subsequent poor rehab of it

The optimist in me says that the first two surgeries where botch jobs and the player himself stated that they went and got the best they could for the final op, and mentioned how difficult it was due to the previous ones, seems on the surface anyway that the guy did a clean up surgery from the previous ones, which if done right could mean he will recover well, bodes well that he played the last few games of the season then Roma allowed him to go for 3 international friendlies after that though - have to think any doubts they would hav epulled him from them.

I remember when we signed Reid though and basically everyone had wrote him off as a corck and he'd do nothing for us, and it turned out to be one of our best ever signings

way i see the Storrtman deal, if it works then we could end up with a player who looked every bit as good as Pogba did at the same age before injuries for a absurdly cheap fee - if it doesnt work out then we will lose no more than we did on naisse for example, which honestly is worth the gamble

I don't play FM mate, I just watch European football a lot and try to keep up to date with certain players. Last I heard was that Feyenoord were letting Vilhenha leave on a free transfer.

Replied almost as many times as Strootman had injuries and op's ;)

Is he the Scottish Messi?

Sorry, I'm yet to see any goalkeeper emerge from the African continent, whether he be Black or White, who would be capable of playing PL football in that position. Perhaps their coaching is sub-standard or the talent is not there.

There is no assumption regarding the birthplace of Steve Mandanda - he was born in Zaire, on the continent of Africa.

Now stop being so silly.

It's true. Africas production of goalkeepers is pretty abysmal. Grobelaar was alright though.

Did we not used to have a seperate thread for people's suggestions of signings, and keep this one for players we have been substantially linked with?
Just waded through page after page of Robbie Brady talk and other nonsense.

Why have sense and order when you can simply work yourself into a frenzy amidst the chaos?

He's not African, he's French. You're talking about a WHOLE continent. They have different coaching styles, their national teams are at different levels. And he is French, and trained in France.
You are using your assumptions of a WHOLE continent of footballers to judge one individual player.
