Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Which, surprise surprise, means going into the season with half a team and absolutely no chemistry between the players. We could have had Koeman sorts much sooner. No doubt we'll throw away loads of points because we don't have the players in or it takes months for them to gel as a unit.
Agree with this, takes a lot of time for players to gel and get integrated into the system.

I've heard he's moved pre-season to a week earlier in the calendar though.

I think our lads are going to be in with a shock to be honest, Martinez just seemed to let them come back each summer with a few games of five-a-side completely neglecting the fitness aspect.

Correct, they're back next week by all accounts.

Obviously not the lads at the Euros.

I don't know how any team in the world rates Pepe over Varane.

Don't forget, they did make this signing at one point:

Old guy on the right looking sideways, can't believe it either.

Batshuayi has turned down Palace according to reports.

We're a much more attractive alternative for him bigger richer club and offer better wages,if Lakaku goes he's a ready made replacement.

On holiday atm with the kids. Any decent links in here recently? Only seen the ones in the echo/bbc, can hardly say they set the pulse racing! Be nice if July 1st we get a big signing to get the ball rolling.

He is no where near the level of lloris mandanda imo is a glorified shot stopper who is slightly better than Tim Howard was in his prime. He does not have the right attributes to be our number one and would seriously struggle in a top league because of how he palms balls back into danger and often cannot keep a hold of the ball it is okay in a less skilled league because it can be dealt with but when it comes to the pl it would cost many Many goals
Completely agree with this, he'd be a good signing to a lower/mid table club but we need to be aiming much higher.

Transfers are really starting to move now and where not linked with anyone concrete. Everyday its a different player.
