Everton Transfer Thread 2016

I think I read that Koeman signed his first player for Southampton 16 days after his appointment was announced.

I'm sure there is plenty of work being done behind the scenes, and it will come to fruition soon.

The sooner the better to get them integrated and fit, the most important consideration is whether or not the signings meet with general approval though, bearing in mind it's impossible to please everyone, all the time.

He will be judged on his first signing even if his third is amazing. Its funny how people perceive things.

When I put music on the jukebox you have to make your first one stand out in a good way, people judge on that. Just like the transfer window

lollollol Sorry mate I meant the Madrid player called James yet Absoloute whoppers like to call him Hamesh because James just isn't cool for school. The guy who left for Madrid for £65m plus add ons, yet we will blow most of our reported budget on him to bench Barkley.

Well his name is pronounced Ham-es, I don't see the issue in getting that right? Whats so cool for school about getting peoples names right? Especially if its pretty well know that's how it should be pronounced?

I could understand if basically nobody knew it....like the proper pronunciation of Ronaldo, with the R sounding like somebody about to spit, but since the World Cup at least most people would know how to pronounce the guys name properly so why not do it?

on topic.....buy Ronaldo and James.

So you're saying if he brought in, for arguments sake, Tim Krul first because that deal was easiest to wrap up. Then he brought in Schneiderlin and then he brought in Mata, he would be judged more on Krul wrapping up quicker than his ability to bring Juan Mata to Everton?

Because to me, that's wrong.

Krul as the first signing would get the initial "Oh yeah, new player" media and fan coverage. But if then went and brought in two midfielders who vastly improved our midfield, everyone would look at that and go "Wow, who would have thought Juan Mata would play for Everton, brilliant from Koeman."

In that case, transfers 2 and 3 would get bigger coverage than transfer 1
