Wouldn't be surprised if we dig our heels and again just tell Stones he's not going for any offer. Moshiri means business and won't want the club to look weak at a time when we're publicly looking to puff our chests out. And Koeman won't kiss the lad's arse to placate him like Martinez did when he and his agent throw a strop.

I'm sorry mate, but nothing you can tell me is going to make me feel Axel Witsel is a £30m/100k per week wages footballer.

If we are contemplating overpaying footballers so badly to get them to Everton then I fear for our club.
