Leiscter won the league on the way they approached the game. No better manager would have approached the season the way ranieri did. Point is ranieri isn't suddenly a world class manager in the same vein as pep carlos or Jose but he played a different way to what they would have done. Combined with two players stepping their game up massively and a amazing find of a midfielder out of nowhere meant they could keep their momentum going.

So yeah, sometimes when it works it just works without anyone having to be lab labelled world class

Yeah, but if they finish top 4 this year then his stock rises even more, maybe in the same way as Simeone at Atletico only to a lesser extent. It was Ranieris approach, his formation, tactics and man management, along with a slice of luck along he way which helped him achieve an amazing thing. He's been tarnished by previous jobs which didn't go so well.

Anymore word on Wesley Schnieder?

True mate, maybe it will come down to who is willing to pay the most wages.

Maybe.

I've not been overly impressed with him at the Euros but I don't think that's the way to judge him. Haven't a clue what he's been like in Russia but my mate is a massive Benfica fan who said he was good with Javi Garcia beside him in their midfield a few seasons ago. If the manager wants him then fair enough. He got the best out of Schniderlin, Wanyama, Lalana and Stephen Davis. We need to get the balance right.

I saw him play a few times before the Euro's, and to tell you the truth, I had hardly seen him have a decent game, hopefully new club, new manager will change all that.

I just worry he's a bit of a non entity. Although this is based on not watching him play at club level. At least with Schniderlin you know you're getting someone who can cope with the league and who has been successful. The manager also knows him and how to get the best from him.
