From having the expectation of new 'top' signings I'm every so slowly drifting back to simply hoping we'll sign some 'top' players. A very tricky business having money to burn but no European football to offer. Seems throwing money at it, isn't so srtaightforward.

You laugh at that line up, but just consider how close that is to some of the teams Martinez put out at times when people were still claiming he was a top manager. Now ask yourself if anything has changed when we're arguing where Mata Witsel and Carvalho may go. Completely different game.

That line up is awful on so many levels, if Martinez was still here relegation would have been on the cards this coming season.
