With any "ITK" it is always, at best, second-hand information they are sharing. Then there's the issue if what they've been told was even true in the first place. At least @The Esk waits for two sources before sharing it but even then it isn't going to be constant updates and all sorts of things can happen. We've seen deals fall apart over medicals, contract negotiations, other team's owners pulling the deal, etc. Until it is official there are all sorts of things that can happen.

Wasn't there supposed to be a second investor who would be ploughing millions into the club coffers?

What if that never materialized or has stalled for whatever reason.

That is not something the club would leak and definitely not something they would openly publicise.

That's fair enough, it is because he says so. I don't see the point in calling him a liar over it because someone hasn't signed today. Unforeseen things happen in deals all the time, and it is at best second-hand info he's giving out.
