Three at the back is gonna happen I think. Jags, stones and Mori. With Lennon, Deulofeu as wing backs.....il go to bed

Soon lol

Although it does bring me to a point - I'm sure the stats of you young 'uns' games are accurate, but for someone of my age (or anyone over about 25) it seems odd that you place so much faith in a game when it comes to players.

These are algorithms written in code, and will never deviate. They don't take into account the stress of a newborn baby, or getting married (eg. Coleman) has on a player.

Call me old fashioned (or just old) but I prefer to see a player in the flesh before trusting a set of programmed mathematical equations, no matter how good the scouting for it is.
Sure, certainly don't think it's 100% accurate or can be used to judge a player totally, but it's certainly a rough guide to players abilities compared to one another if that makes sense. Have a gander at the Evertons players ratings on the game and tell me they don't rank about right.

As I say, definitely can't be used to gauge how good a player is, but not totally random.

i think it's getting clearer by the day that we're edging to a massive overhaul in the squad, by the end of this summer at the latest. For years under moyes, we moaned about a lot of deadwood that we hoped to get rid of ... in essence, we didn't have a squad big enough, partly due to moyes not willing to promote youngsters.

I would have laughed you about 3 weeks ago saying we'll get rid of naismith, mcgeady and gibson as that was more what people wanted rather than what they expected to happen, but today it does seem a decent possibility. There's no way we'll let so many attacking players go without bringing one in, surely?

With a few others like pienaar and osman, who are played sporadically coming to the end of their contracts, there is the possibility of a mass change in the summer. The first team is almost totally different in just 3 years to that of moyes' last season, but there are still the remains of his era behind. Most of them are too old and too injury prone, it can only be a good thing, this overhaul imo. A new everton who don't go into massive games knowing at best they'll draw. You can't win trophies like that.

I just hope martinez doesn't go overboard with youth, we already have a lot of youngsters, which could mean an amazing team in 6 or 7 years time, but we'll have finances to start bossing before then.

Yes, i made a squad thread about this.

Galloway steps up + Foulds signs
Osman contract up + Tarashaj signs

Think we're building well there but if we do lose a few more players then we also need to sign those who can cover/compete with the players we have now.

i still think we will try for Dembele and Byram and also a bigger surprise signing.

Do you guys think we'll go for another Galactico signing soon? We had Lukaku in 13/14 and 14/15, Deulofeu in 15/16, maybe we'll go after a big name like Mertens, Yarmolenko or Chicharito in 16/17? Or is it just gonna be a terrible one where our best players are sold and the deadwood Moyes-era signings remain?

Of course we will. Bobby is the man with the plan.

More likely to get rid of moyes deadwood as hes already said that the squad is too big.
