All thought out and very sensible.

I remember you said though that Yarmolenko's beat positon was on the right and he was nowhere near as good on the left.

As Deulofeu is now a fixture on the right and we have no LW how much impact could he have on the left?

As an out and out left winger mate we would be wasting him, his shot cutting in from the right is amazing, but we don't exactly and can't see us suddenly changing to playing an out and out winger on the left as Martinez is stuck to the idea of playing someone there who cuts infield A LOT and almost at times plays like a second striker with Lukaku, both things which would suit Yarmolenko very well.

IF we do sign him and he is given the same type of freedom on the left we have given others their then he could be absolutely outstanding there, throw in the fact that he likes to swap Deulofeu over during games now and again as well and the prospects of the naughty things we could do to teams is nice to think about ;)

Keep thinking he could be like Tricky was on the other side for us on that left

The only place the BBC ever puts us first....

He has an amazing goalscoring record and built like a real monster, sounds like his only weakness is his right foot?

im not sure if we will sign him BUT ive said for a while now it appears were gearing up for a major signing with the contracts of top players needing extensions (as you stated) and also that we never signed anyone for the left even as a stopgap in summer...

Martinez is like a bloodhound with players he wants and with the agent mentioning us so much (compared to other agents) and how we didnt go mental in the summer i think he could be the one...

Goalkeeper in summer :)

In a pure fantasy football kind of way, there is a striker who is having a tough time of things and would be good back up if we got him playing to his best. possibly a 20 goal a season striker as well, and his own club don't want him. convince him to drop his wages (hence fantasy part) and we could have Falcao ala an etoo deal.

I know, just merely putting it out there.

Linked with;

Goal keepers;

Michel Vorm
Asmir Begovic
John Ruddy

Winger;

Jefferson Montero

I think Montero could be an option for the left, Vorm was great at Swansea, but he is third choice at Spurs behind lloris and Gomes, so I could see that happening.

think he has just gone as a player tbh mate, same way torres and shevchenko went from world class to terrible in a short time period

Errr.... Which Gomes plays for Spurs mate? Vorm is very much their second-choice goalkeeper.

He is just a top class player all round mate, if Martinez pulls this off will give him massive credit

Anyone else think we should go a second time for Lacina Traore? He's a monster that wins everything in the air and is fast and strong. Deulofeu and him would have a field day.

Imagine him up front with Rom, Deulofeu on the right and someone like Sane or Yarms on the left. Besic as a DM, and a world-class goalkeeper. We are 3 big signings away from title contenders, just think about that.

I wondered why we haven't been back in for him. Makes me think there is some kind of "issue" there, maybe a potential injury or something off the field.
