That's my point.

Gray got shed loads in the lower leagues, type of player Moyes would have gone for on the cheap.
With all respect with the finances made available to him, that's the standard we could afford. Comparing our spending prowess then to now, it was like shopping at aldi to now shopping at harrods.

i think a good player is a good player doesnt matter which club they play for

lots of players have made the step up from championship to prem

the champions leicester recently signed a championship player in january 2016, demarai gray from birmingham

But at the elite level (champions league clubs) there are not many players signed from championship clubs. I agree there are some decent players in the championship, whether they are the ability to take us to the next level is questionable.

Just hope to see some incomings this week. If we could get GK, CB, DM, and striker in by the first game it would be great but it seems a big ask.
Really will be good one way or another when the window shuts. It feels like I've spent the last few months waiting on something from Everton - almost every day. The sacking, Koeman, and new signings.
The period from the derby defeat onwards has been a big test of patience in some ways.

Getting less and less enthusiastic as this window goes on.

Not arsed if we sign some good players now unless we sign them all in a short space of time. More arsed about Ross del kev and rom this season at the minute.

Thing is at the moment, we are mostly chatting about incoming players as opposed to outgoing. We know Stones is off and if a huge offer comes so is Romelu.
Looking at the posts most people are talking about incoming...... Refreshing!

I think we'll still sign this kind of player, that's why we wanted monchi and got Walsh, both have an eye for a bargain, I just think we'll supplement them with more proven players as well

Doubt Jose sees us as much of a 'rival' if anything is having him in place before the Spurs game would do him a favour!

Don't be shocked mate, Mourinho will be well aware of some of the talent in the team - how its been mismanaged and the level of investment we are planning

Not sure whys he's being mentioned, but saw half a dozen games of Burnley's towards the end of the season(betting purposes) ..Andre Gray has one of the worst first touches you're likely to see. Jeez, you think Rom's bad.
