Come on, these flames have been fanned and largely instigated and given credence by one particular administrator on here. That's why I believed it.

The only people responsible for our transfer window is the club.

I've not said we'll sign Witsel, Mata or Carvalho. I know sod all on transfers.

So going back to your allegation that Esk is making stuff up to drive traffic to GrandOldTeam so we earn mega bucks - let me inform you that The Esk doesn't own anything GrandOldTeam, GrandOldTeam isn't a business and for our 9 years we've ran at a loss every single year. Hoping 2016 we be the first year we make some profit mainly from forum subscriptions, if we do - any profit will go straight into the development of GOT. Servers, apps, whatsapp broadcasts, license subscriptions etc etc don't come free.

Don't need to justify yourself tbh mate, I've thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed this website in one way or another for the last five or so years.

Well for one, you actually said 15 didn't you, which was wrong, as it's 16.

But my point was your acting as if this is the Thursday before the season starts. It ain't. Half of the league - including our first-game opponents, btw - are currently off in some far flung corner of the globe as well.

Plenty of time.

You had a point. I see and your point is that I should look at all the other clubs and not my own and take comfort by that and that our opponents are displaced somewhere around the world.

I have noticed the recent spate of "comfort posts" to neutralise the concern showed by the fan base wrt to our transfer window status and the imminent start of the new season.

I choose to live in the real world based on facts....still time for the club to act....tick tock.

Got to say, all those lambasting the pessimists and asking for evidence of why nothing has changed; where is YOUR evidence to the contrary?

Note: some random administrator on a forum, with no connection to the club, making all kinds of outlandish claims does not constitute evidence.

The silence from the club with regards to any kind of potential transfers is deafening. That is undeniable.

Nice one - had to pickup on it as allegations like that undermine everything we do here and on a personal level, is a kick in the bollocks after having invested money and above all, time in all those years

Similarly when people presume we must get loads of freebies from EFC. Never had a thing. GOT affiliation is more likely to see you banned on entry (as @alan ball will tell you) than be given a favour... lol

We have signed third choice keeper new manager and DoF.

Walshs late appointment is probs the main and natural cause of our transfer activity...or lack of it.

I havent been keeping my eye on other teams....are we the only team that hasnt signed any opening XI players like?
