I just can't help but think there is a reason behind all this.

I can't see (1)Moshiri negotiating stadiums, (2)replacing managers with expensive alternatives and (3)introducing a high demand DoF to then neglect the playing squad.

As much as I've panicked this window there must have been a selling point for RK to leave Southampton for us. There must be a reason the deals are being held up, it could even be a case of Moshiri wanting to announce 3 quality players in the same day to make a real signal of intent.

None of us really know after all but I doubt a businessman of Moshiri's calibre would allow us to start a season weaker than where we were in March with the overall squad and manager package.

The only worry i had was it looks like we have a decent start to the season after the first game, a time to pick up points with new players bedded in,
i hope we are not playing catch up against the stronger teams when the window closes.

Has anyone considered Koeman's signings at Southanpton? Perhaps he doesn't like spending too much on players. The most he spend might have been on Van Dijk and relatively speaking its not that much. Could explain a lot. Stones out Fonte/willams in and 40mil in bank, then spend max 15 million on the other players he needs.
