Koeman has definitely earmarked our centre midfield, we are woeful in that position at the moment, you could hear him screaming at them all through the game!!
I expect him to get the players in, keep the faith lads...
Can you imagine Witsel and Carvalho replacing Barry and Mcarthy...sort it Ron!!

Just those 2 players alone, would make such a difference. Throw in Williams snd mata as a genuine playmaker to feed rom and we would be transformed.

I'm with you on that mate. I would think that when it's clear we can't realistically sign the Witsels, Matas and Koulibalis - I mean like when either they've gone elsewhere or Koeman / Walsh know for sure they won't come - then we are scrambling for the next level. That's the transfer window gamble, but there's a tipping point, and it's usually around 48 hours before the window shuts.

I for one am delighted at the kind of player were aiming for, and again personally I think it's worth the gamble to get the kind of names mentioned in this transfer window, even if it's after the season start so we'd have them in this season to build the team around, rather than build a team of second level players that we'd be stuck with under contract for 3 to 4 years, blocking shirts for January signings potentially....

For a club that wants to progress having a near 36 year old Gareth Barry starting every game in the centre of the park is bad news. Dont get me wrong, I like Gareth Barry, but he's finished.

Testimonial or no testimonial, tonight was a good example of if we had the additional quality in the 'right areas' we would have won that game. The same would happen in the premier league and it's the difference between turning draws into wins and losses into draws.
