I agree with MG regarding vidic, he has not got the legs anymore, if he did he'd still be at the mancs.
The defensive coach we need is someone along the lines of Ratcliffe, he knows the club he's our greatest captain and it'll get the personality void off the tele.

As for defensive cover a right back is surely the priority. One who could double up as an emergency centre half would be a bonus

Steven Naismith is hoping to move clubs this month
Norwich's hopes of signing Everton striker Steven Naismith have suffered a setback, Sky Sports News HQ understands.

Sources claim the transfer is in doubt after talks between the parties stalled, but insist the deal is not yet dead.

Toffees boss Roberto Martinez said earlier on Tuesday that Naismith is ready to leave the club in the winter transfer window, while Aiden McGeady and Darron Gibson could depart on loan.

Sky sources reported in December that Norwich were set to revive their interest in Naismith after trying to sign him in the summer.

The Canaries had a £7m bid for the 29-year-old Scotland international turned down and Sky sources understands they remain one of a number of clubs interested in signing Naismith this month.

Naismith signed for Everton from Rangers in 2012 but he has struggled to nail down a regular starting place this term, making just four starts in the Premier League and six appearances off the bench, scoring four league goals.

We just Carnt get shut of [Poor language removed].

The Guardian is saying another prem club (Swanea maybe?) is interested and Naismith hasn't decided what he wants to do

Everton accepted a bid of £8m from Norwich for Naismith last month but the Scotland international has yet to decide on his future, with Roberto Martínez revealing on Tuesday that another unnamed Premier League club are also interested in signing him.
Quite honestly, for a team near the drop, he'd be a very solid signing. He may not be perfect but he gives his all and scores goals.
