That also happened to him for England in the last world cup, prior to his injuries. At no point have I seen him beaten for pace when going chasing a ball down. No doubt injuries and age will affect him but to say he has no pace is merely an attempt to fit your narrative. Sorry mate, but I'm not having it. To say we can't play a higher line because of Jags is IMHO, incorrect.

And like I've just said there where a few times when he was in a straight foot race with the striker and he got burnt off. He's clearly lost a lot of pace because he used to be pretty rapid.

And the way he plays he needs it.
