The top players want largely CL clubs. Which top Koulibaly/Mata type players have Liverpool or Spurs signed? That's right none as even they can't attract them. All this talk of West ham getting a world class forward and they end up with Ayew.

Fact is this team needs some big impovements and at the minimum Williams and Kone will offer that at the back, and Gueye has the potential to do well (although he needs a top player alongside him imo).

I don't want Bolasie but at the worst if he comes in he'll cause defences problems and open up space for Rom and and Ross to exploit. Let's just give it a chance people are whinging like arsenal fans on here lately. Maybe Koeman will shock us with a top GK and or CM signing in the Forster/Schnerderlin mode.

Distin was good and i believe older when we signed him.

Williams was voted in the Euros starting 11 team just recently and was immense in that tournament. He has also been excellent for Swansea they will miss him for sure. I bet their fans don't want him to leave.

But i bet for you like most its the age thing?

We were always going to sell Stones also so its a mute point really. He didn't want to play for us and the club was always going to cash in.

It's not just an age thing - he's erratic and always has a mistake in him (in before the 'so has Stones' shouts). As I said before, if you're going to sell, replace with top quality - everybody has different opinions but Kone and Williams - for me - are not
