Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Not any old players, good ones. Not headless chickens in their late twenties. Whilst I think the Ibe fee is nuts, they are paying for potential and there will be some resale value, we get neither of those things with Bolasie.

And the club knows this, so surely that means a change in the clubs thinking, its likely we will sign 3 players, with no resale value for around 60m, I mean im having a think but I dont recall us ever doing anything like that.

Nor me.

Discounting the Gazza and Ginola stuff.

Get the bleach into pal
Big game tmrw . If you can't get excited and lose the negativity for 24hrs I feel sorry for you and the rest of the fumers still banging on.

This. At the end of the day it's about going to the match, having a good time and hoping Everton don't make you too miserable in the process. Can't wait.

My best guess is when the window ends we'll have shipped out 8 (Howard, Osman, Pienaar, Hibbert, McGeady, Niasse loan, Stones, Galloway loan) bringing in about £44m net of Barnsley fee.

I think we'll bring in 8, one more than Ron implied. Just gut feel that he'll get the 4 he wants in the next ten days and we'll swing an opportunistic deal, maybe two at the deadline to add to the 3 so far.

If we assume the £17-18m spent so far plus an average of £20m each for 5 more (Bolasie & Kone, for example, supposedly £43-48m combined) we will have spent roughly £117.5m.

Net spend approaching £75m.

I understand the frustration and angst but I still think there is every probability we will be comfortably in top 6 spenders this summer which is a sea-change for us. The concern for me is that we cannot attract top class players thus summer not that we won't spend

Why has he said 4 max?

And then you factor in the chance of Mata and it adds up to around 90m, plus wages just flushed down the toilet, so to speak, very un-Everton.
We need instant improvements to move up the league and European qualification, We cant afford to wait for
potential to develop, If we somehow managed to qualify Champions league these signing would more than pay for themselves.

Another blistering end to the week for us again.
The club executive staff and the apologists on here need to be taken out back to the wackenhut.

Too busy slapping the apologists froth from there mealy mouths.

Quick question, what do you think us apologists are apologizing for?

My point is that all of the ceaseless whining is sourced in nothing. No expertise, no knowledge and nothing but bias and panic. We have access to the smoke of evidence that work is being done, but that's not an appealing explanation and some would rather believe it's incompetence instead of Everton being a somewhat unattractive job for the quality of player we've been pursuing. This is what we have to contend with after being off the top.of the game for so long.
