Depay had 2 goals and 0 assists in almost 1500 minutes. Bolasie had a bad season but not nearly that bad. Options on those other teams are Chadli, Pedro and Nasri. Really not better than Bolasie

Yeah thats what I meant,, those three names you suggested seem much better. bit of a hark back to Ginola, Kanchelskis and Gascoigne type signings,(like, can't believe they'll sign for us) but still, much much better.

Can you not get to grips that to improve at the moment the most realistic targets will be quality players that have fallen out of favour with more currently successful clubs mate?

Our attempts to sign first-team regulars from CL clubs have so far failed...

True. I'd prefer us to buy more talented young players though. No one knows, for sure, exactly how much money Moshiri will or is able to put in to the club over a prolonged period of time, especially if the stadium plans move forward in the near future. Assuming we may have to sell a key player every once in a while to meet FFP requirements, like with Stones, it seems far safer to mix experienced signings with raw talent.

Some people would argue we need proven players to push us on but if Walsh is as good as he's touted to be it should be minimal risk and young players that want to prove how good they are, should, in theory be more likely to come to us and be fully motivated to play well.

I think we should go for a mix but it's concerning that the club seem to be spending so much time on more unrealistic targets when there must be a lot of young talent that the bigger clubs have either missed or just not got round to buying. I was hoping we'd buy the likes of Haller, Rolan etc.

Nah not worth that. Then again Bolasie isn't worth what we'll pay for him (though I think it's a good signing).

I think the Stek is a smart signing and has added quality back up, but it's an are we drastically need to improve in. Hart guarantees that improvement. He is a very good keeper - but his knack for a mistake every now and then means he'll never reach the 'world class' category.

Anybody thinking we can get a world class keeper is deluded though.

And before anybody starts, Leno, Horn, Rico etc. are not world class (yet).
Leno is miles better though. Doesn't star in [Poor language removed] adverts either. Horn, I like his name. I'd have either before hart

I just wish we'd negotiate to buy out Del's buyback clause with Barca.

If he ends up having a great season, which I think he will, it's going to be heartbreaking if we lose him.
