This is why I was saying there's no way we would be signing all those players earlier on in the window at this rate. You can't just sign 5 players on deadline day. It's impossible because the deals are all done by Kenwright and there isn't the time.
The only kind of deals clubs can do then if there is more than one are the bargain buy where the club needs to get rid of the player.
It's hardly a strategy for a team with money. The simply fact is if we had money the players would already be here. We have around 20m left from the TV money. In today's world that allows us to spend on 1 player 2 tops and that's exactly what Koeman is saying.
We are after Kone and possibly Hart and that's it.

People genuinely do just live for transfers mate. It's like an addiction and it's really weird.
The window will be shut a week before somebody has already started a thread outlining exactly what we need in January and by God if we don't get them the sky will fall down.
We've got a good squad that has had some quality additions so far, not least of which the manager.
I still think we'll see three more ins, and some outs, and our squad will be stronger next Thursday than it is now.

It has been a strange window. the one where everyone suddenly turns rich and the only real active ones are going to be the bottom half teams.
United and city set their stalls out early, chelsea already good squad so little need to improve, arsenal being arsenal, spurs cutting costs for stadium, noone else really have got better through their business.
I wonder if this year could really be our year to get somewhere? A competent manager, balancing the squad, new energy in the team, and potentially a couple ore players replacing ones that offer nothing in the squad. Just need to consistently pick up points between now and christmas and potentially an actual good finish may not be out the question if we assume the top 2 will be locked out for the most of ths season.

We have beaten West Brom and Yeovil. Spurs battered us for the whole 2nd half once they woke up.
Don't be fooled. The same problems persist. We need a CM because Barry won't last every game and we have no one else who does what he does. We need a CB because Williams and Jags are both getting on and Mori is a liability and I don't trust our backup FBs. I also think we need a GK.

Id guess Martina signing isn't one of the 1 or 2, so then he has decided against another CB given Holgate's progress, keeper I think it will be hart loan or nothing given steks form and we willing till deadline to do that deal, so that than leaves the two he actually means , a striker and playmaking LW.
