I know I'm going to be in a minority by a distance but I'd roll the dice on Balotelli. The penny has to drop at some point with him and it would rattle their cages massively if it was with us, especially if we'd picked him up for around £5mill.

There is a great player in there.
I think the penny will drop with him when reality finally hits him that he has wasted his career. Right now his career to date has been AC milan, Inter Milan, Man city and Liverpool. No matter what he seems to bounce from club to club and still be up there in the respective leagues.
the minute he has to take a crap team offer is when he will finally stop wasting his talent and finally start earning his place in the game.

I'm just talking in the respect of him not getting anything other than a lower team offer and finally having to play a little bit rather than coast along.
Although it is a mystery why teams keep signing him considering his record in his career has been shocking by all accounts.

With comments about it being a panic/rush job to get 4, I hope we get them whether it's rushed or not.
I think clubs and players will be more flexible and open to persuasion in the last few days, but I wonder whether getting anymore than 2 is a big ask.
Still think we need GK, CB, AM, and F as a priority. I would add RB cover as a lesser priority and it looks as if we will get Cuco Martina there.
It's difficult from the above which position to say I would be ok with us missing out on for extra cover/quality.
Martina + another 3 would be fine for me, less than 3 and I think we are cutting corners but acknowledge its difficult.
I do expect we'll get a keeper and striker, and the deal for Koné is probably still there despite Davey's stance
