Everton Transfer Thread 2016

but it hasn't been a poor window, we've brought in very decent players who have already massively improved the squad, and we'll bring in some more in the days to come.
If you take into account the loss of Stones, then at this moment it has been a poor transfer window.

Depends if we buy there mate, McCarthy pushed down to fourth choice, May as well cash in on him at that point.
Fourth? I doubt Cleverley or Gibson will start before McCarthy does. Id much rather see us sell Cleverley. I like him too, useful player, but he never affected our game like an in-form McCarthy did.

Edit:
If say, Carvalho, comes, that changes everything.

I said mate if we buy at the position then he will go to fourth choice.

IF we bring someone in and i honestly think we are trying (as seemed to have been a major area all summer - but with obvious knockbacks from witsel etc) and think we will get one in late. Then can see both Cleverley and McCarthy being both moved on mate.

Gueye, barry, new cm, Gibson and Davies would give us more than enough depth at the position without any European extra games to worry about. (especially as both Gueye and Barry rarely miss games with injury)

Yep, I can see that scenario. I was a little quick on responding, didnt quite register the 'if we bring someone'-part of your post. Sorry about that, mate.

You can't have a huge squad, wage bill would be huge
We have James
Gibson
Clev
Barry
Gueye
Barkley
Davies

So if we want anither midfielder, then one got to be sold

I would think the likelihood of selling anyone decreases as the window comes to an end. Loaning them out would be a much more viable option given we are trying to increase our wage bill to offset the Stones sale. Thinking McGeady and Niase for sure, Kone if we get another striker before the end of the window. Sales are a lot more likely next year depending on our transfers this season.
